Position: Beauty/Nail Tutor - Hull
Reporting to: Centre Manager
Position Purpose: We are looking to recruit a Beauty/Nail Tutor to deliver qualifications for 3 days per week.
Salary: £150 a day
Fixed Term contract.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required
Experience and Knowledge
- Teaching qualification (essential)
- Assessors’ qualification (essential)
- Beauty Level 3 (essential)
- Nails Level 3 (essential)
- Solid occupational competency in Beauty Therapy
- Level 2 Maths/English and ICT Functional Skills (desirable)
- An ability to effectively engage with people from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of local services, organisations and agencies for signposting and support
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Job Description
- Deliver engaging training in Beauty Therapy - VTCT qualifications.
- Effectively engage learners with an in-depth and tailored training experience to support learners to prepare for employment or other progressions.
- Provide comprehensive support from enrolment to initial assessment through the delivery of individualised programme of learning, developing all aspects of an individual’s employability journey.
- Produce and review an effective ILP in conjunction with each learner and their individual support needs.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans with the support of the IQA as well as contributing to the on-going development of new training materials and resources.
- Manage learner caseload and ensure timely completions and minimum achievement levels of 90%.
- Complete daily marking in timely manner, in order to provide detailed and focused feedback to the learner to support progression towards their individual goals.
- Deliver appropriate IAG to support the learner with their overall end goal.
- Work towards agreed Awarding Bodies requirements for delivery and assessment.
- KPI: Achieve Grade 2 good observations.
- Include learning and teaching of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in line with the qualification they are completing, and policy and procedures relating to equality and diversity.
- Include learning and teaching of Safeguarding and Prevent in line with the qualification they are completing and policy and procedures relating to safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults, including learner induction and handbooks.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the learner throughout their period of learning.
- Attend team, standardisation and One to One meetings.
- Be available for OTL, IQA, EQA, and Ofsted visits as required.
- Complete CPD records appropriately and timely.
- Ensure manager is notified of any learners at risk or any issues immediately and withdrawals are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding of learners across the business and externally as appropriate, and to help prevent acts of radicalisation and extremism.
- Play an active part in promotion and awareness of Equality & Diversity across the business and externally as appropriate.
- The post holder may be required to undertake other such responsibilities as are reasonably commensurate with the status of this post.
